Samsung Rewards Program
TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. By using or enrolling in this program, in accordance with Section B4 below, you agree to the following terms and conditions (the “Terms”) that govern the Samsung Rewards Program.
A. Overview of Samsung Rewards Program
The Samsung Rewards Program (the "Program") is a loyalty program sponsored by Samsung Electronics UK Limited (“Samsung”) through which individuals (“Participant(s)”) who have a valid Samsung Account ID, may earn points (“Point(s)”) that will be credited to Participant's Samsung Rewards Account (“Rewards Account") as set forth herein, Participants may redeem their Points through the standard sales site available on Samsung.com/UK or the Samsung Shop Mobile App (the “E-Commerce Platform”) as described below. The E-Commerce Platform does not include any closed user group (such as EPP or other discount site).
B. Eligibility and Participation in the Program
1. The Program is open to residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland. Participants must have a valid Samsung Account ID. If you do not have a Samsung Account ID, visit
https://account.samsung.com and follow the links and instructions to create an account.
2. The Samsung Account Terms and Conditions, which you agree to when creating a Samsung Account, form an integral part of these Terms. The latest version of these Samsung Account Terms and Conditions can be found here https://account.samsung.com/membership/policy/terms. In case of any inconsistency or conflict between these Terms and the Samsung Account terms and conditions, these Terms shall prevail. The Program is provided to individuals only. Corporations, associations, including school organizations, or other groups may not participate in the Program.
3. The Program and these Terms apply to the earning and redemption of points in the UK. Other Samsung companies may have their own, separate, Samsung Reward Programs. Points earned from one Samsung Rewards Program must be redeemed with the same Program, unless they are converted and transferred in accordance with Section H of these terms below. You may register a Rewards Account with additional Samsung companies so that you can earn and spend points in multiple countries. Your Points balances will be shown separately for each Rewards Account
4. Registration
Users who registered their Samsung Account before 5th July 2023 are not enrolled into Samsung Rewards automatically. They can register and create a Rewards Account by following this link https://www.samsung.com/uk/rewards/, providing their Samsung Account ID, and agreeing to these Terms.
Users who registered their Samsung Account after 5th July 2023 are automatically enrolled into Samsung Rewards as part of their Samsung Account benefits.

Continued participation in the Program constitutes each Participant's continued full and unconditional agreement to these Terms as they may be updated from time to time, and representation that Participant meets the eligibility requirements set out in these Terms.
There is a limit of one (1) Rewards Account per person/e-mail address, regardless of whether more than one person uses the same e-mail address. The person who is the authorized e-mail account holder of the e-mail address indicated when registering (and who otherwise meets the eligibility criteria) will be deemed the Participant.
Users may opt out of Samsung Rewards by completing the process at this samsung.com/uk/mypage/rewards.

C. Duration, Modification and Termination of the Program
1. The Program will continue until Samsung announces its termination. Samsung also reserves the right to suspend the Program or modify the Terms at its discretion. Termination, modification or suspension may affect a Participant's ability to redeem accumulated Points. Samsung shall provide as much notice of termination or material modification of the Terms as reasonably possible, and not less than 3 months’ notice for termination of the Program.
2. Samsung may in its sole discretion modify, withdraw, amend or add to any Samsung Rewards and Tier benefits or features. Samsung will give as much advance notice as practicable of such action to Participants.
3. Examples of the action which Samsung may take under this clause include modifying the right to earn or redeem Samsung rewards Points including the rates of redemptions or tier thresholds, amendment or withdrawal of tier status, and the amendment or withdrawal of tier benefits.
4. A Participant's continued participation in the Program after the end of the notice period constitutes his or her acceptance of any changes to these Terms. Any changes will apply to previously accrued points. Participants who do not wish to accept changes to the Program can cease to use Samsung Rewards.
D. Earning Points
1. Earning Points through use of other Samsung Mobile Applications:
Samsung may offer Points to use, engage or interact with other Samsung mobile applications (solely determined by Samsung and subject to change from time to time) available on some or all Qualifying Devices. Each such offer will provide details and terms regarding how to earn Points and when they will be credited to Participant’s Rewards Account.
2. Earning Points through Purchase of Select Samsung Products:
(a) Samsung will offer Points for purchase of select products through the E- Commerce Platform as identified on the product detail page (alongside the number of points available to be earned), herein a “Qualified Product.” (The standard rate used to determine the Points received for purchasing a Qualified Product is 10 Points for each £1 spent).
(b) The list of products deemed to be Qualified Products is subject to change, although a reasonable range of Qualified Products will be offered while the Samsung Rewards Program is active. Products purchased under a leasing arrangement (including mobile devices sold with a SIM contract) are not Qualified Products and are neither eligible for earning points, or for redeeming points under Section F of these Terms. Payments made on additional services such as Samsung Care+ do not earn Points.
(c) Participants will earn Points as follows:
i. Participants must be logged into their Samsung Account during purchase check out of a Qualified Product(s).
ii. Participants will receive Points based upon the final cost paid at check out (whether paid-in-full or approved for Samsung or other financing) of Qualified Product(s). The final cost will be calculated after all discounts, including use of Points to purchase, coupons, promo codes and gift certificates have been redeemed and will not include shipping or taxes or other fees, if any. The number of Points that will be earned will be displayed after check out.
iii. Points will be credited to Participants’ Rewards Accounts once applicable return periods have lapsed after delivery, or where applicable after chargebacks are complete. You may receive Points for past purchases where you register for Samsung Rewards during the return period for those purchases.
iv. If a Participant is not logged into their Samsung Account during the purchase process for a Qualified Product, then the Participant forfeits the ability to request Points at a later time.
v. Points earned through purchase of Qualified Products will not affect Samsung Pay Tier Status.
(d) Samsung may offer Points for purchase of specific Samsung products through particular retailers for limited time periods, herein “Qualified Merchant Purchase.” Participants will be required to upload receipts displaying Qualified Merchant Purchase and provide all other required information as proof of purchase. For each such offer, Samsung will provide terms with details, limitations and when Points will be credited to Participant’s Rewards Account.
(e) If a Qualified Product Purchase or Qualified Merchant Purchase is returned for any reason after Points have been credited, Samsung reserves the right to deduct the corresponding Points from Participant’s Rewards Account.
3. Earning Points through other Special Offers: Samsung may also offer Points through promotional offers to some or all Participants for limited time periods. These offers may be communicated through the Samsung Members App and other Samsung touch points such as Samsung.com. Each offer will provide details and terms including how to participate and other limitations or restrictions. Samsung may notify eligible Participants with this special opportunity through push notifications and/or to the email address associated with their Samsung Account.
E. Point Value, Forfeiture of Points, & Viewing Points
1. No Cash Value or Transferability. Points do not constitute property, do not entitle a member to a vested right or interest and have no cash value. As such, Points are not redeemable for cash, transferable (with the exception of in accordance with Section H) or assignable for any reason. Accordingly, Points are not transferable upon death, as part of a domestic relations matter or otherwise by operation of law. The sale or transfer of Points (with the exception of in accordance with Section H) is strictly prohibited. Points may not be sold on any secondary market, and any transfer of Points to a secondary market shall be deemed void. You will not be compensated if your Samsung Rewards Account is terminated, your points are forfeited or expire, or you become ineligible to hold an account. There shall be no carry over or transfer of Points to other Samsung programs, unless otherwise stated in these Terms or determined by Samsung in its sole and absolute discretion. Samsung reserves the right to adjust the points value accrued by a Participant; and/or terminate a Participant’s Rewards account in the event that Samsung has reasonable grounds to suspect fraud.
2. Point Expiration. Points expire as follows:
a. Points added to a Rewards Account before 5 December 2023 will expire 24 months after the date on which they were added.
b. Points added to a Rewards Account on or after 5 December 2023 will expire 36 months after the date on which they were added.
Points not redeemed before expiry are forfeited.
3. Accrued Points Viewable in Participant’s Rewards Account. The number of Points collected by each Participant will be tracked in the Participant’s Samsung Rewards Account. Points will be credited to Participant’s Rewards Account after (i) order completion; (ii) the applicable return period has lapsed; and/or (iii) the applicable chargeback window has closed. However, each Participant will have the responsibility of ensuring that his/her Points are properly credited. Any claim for Points not credited accurately, for instance due to a hardware or internet connectivity issue or Rewards Account malfunction must be received by Samsung within seven (7) days of the date of claimed accrual of such Points. Manual issuance of Points can take up to sixty (60) days. You are responsible for checking the accuracy of your Rewards Account.
4. Samsung’s internal record of the Points summaries and Participant Reward Account is determinative in the event of any inconsistency caused by a mechanical error on the Participant’s Rewards Account page. Samsung reserves the right to require proof of accrual of Points and Samsung reserves the right to delay the processing or redemption of any Points without notice to Participants in order to assure compliance with these Terms. Participants are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their Participant Rewards Accounts and activity on their Participant Rewards Account, and Participants agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under their Rewards Account.
5. Participation in the Program is subject to these Terms. Any misrepresentation or fraudulent activities in connection with the Program or any material violation of the Terms may result in the forfeiture of the affected Points, the termination of your Rewards Account, including the forfeiture of all Points accrued to date, and the termination of your Samsung Account in the event of serious breach, as well as the use of any other legal remedies available to Samsung.
6. Samsung shall provide you with a notification of any action taken under these Terms, including termination or forfeiture by emailing you at your registered email address. The notification will include the reasons for the action taken by Samsung.

F. Redeeming Points Earned
Points may only be used to purchase Qualified Products through the E-Commerce Platform.
1. Using Points to Purchase items on E-Commerce Platform
(a) Points may be used to partially purchase a Qualified Product(s) offered within the E-Commerce Platform when Participant is logged into their Samsung Account. Please note, the maximum number of Points that can be used towards the purchase of a Qualified Product is up to 99% of its retail value. The remaining value must be paid via the payment methods available to the Participant at checkout.
(b) The number of Points available to use for the purchase and its corresponding discount to purchase may be displayed during check out. While Points do not have a cash value as set out elsewhere in these Terms, Participants can obtain a discount of £1 for every 1000 Points redeemed as standard.
(c) Points may not be used to pay for additional services such as Samsung Care +, shipping, taxes or other fees.
(d) Upon completion of check out, the Points will be deducted from Participant’s Rewards Account. The deduction of Points is final and except as described below in subsections (e) and (f), Points will not be returned.
(e) Where return or cancellation of a Qualified Product(s) purchase is permitted, Points will be returned to Participant upon cancellation or once Samsung confirms satisfactory return of the applicable Qualified Product(s).
(f) Where both cash and Points are used for a purchase or where multiple Qualified Products are purchased but not all Qualified Products are satisfactorily returned, the Points returned to Participant will be provided on a pro-rata basis.
(g) Samsung reserves the right to modify the list of Qualified Products available for purchase, as well as their corresponding Point values, at any time, although a reasonable range of products will be available for as long as the Samsung Rewards Program is active.
G. Samsung Rewards Tiers
1. There are three tiers of Samsung Rewards: Blue, Gold and Platinum.
2. Samsung Rewards Tier status
(a) Participants who spend more than £1,000 on the E-Commerce Platform within a two year period qualify for the enhanced benefits of the Gold tier. Participants who spend more than £3,000 on the E-Commerce Platform within a two year period qualify for the enhanced benefits of the Platinum Tier.
(b) Participants qualify for the Gold and Platinum tiers once their cumulative total spending during the previous two years exceeds one of the thresholds set out in Section G2(a) above. The cumulative total excludes:
i. spending incurred before the Participant registered for Samsung Rewards
ii. spending incurred before Samsung Rewards launched in their country.
iii. spending on delivery, installation and Samsung Care+
iv. spending where Points are used in lieu of all or part of the purchase price (although the cash portion of such purchases will be included).
(c) Once a Participant has qualified for a Gold or Platinum tier, that status is maintained for the next two years. Cumulative spending during those two years will be assessed against the threshold to allow Participants to check tier status for the following two year period.
(d) The tier status of Participants is calculated and updated at midnight on the 10th day of each month. Samsung reserves the right to alter this time.
(e) Samsung intends to issue Participants with advance notice that their tier status will change so that they can plan their purchases accordingly.
3. Gold and Platinum tier Benefits
(a) Until 11 January 2025, Gold tier Participants earn Points at an enhanced rate of 30 Points per £1 of spending. After 11 January 2025, Gold tier Participants earn Points as the same rate as Blue tier Participants.
(b) Platinum tier Participants earn Points at an enhanced rate of 50 Points per £1 of spending.
(c) A bonus Points amount shall be added for achieving Gold or Platinum tier status as follows. Until 11 January 2025, Samsung will issue Gold tier Participants an additional 10,000 points when they qualify for Gold tier status for the first time. This one off bonus is only available once.
(d) Samsung will issue Platinum tier Participants an additional 50,000 points when they qualify for Platinum tier status for the first time. This one off bonus is only available once. Participants who qualify for the Platinum tier at the same time as Gold tier will only receive the Platinum tier additional points.
4. Changes to tiers
Samsung reserves the right to change the qualification thresholds and benefits of the Gold and Platinum tiers at any time. Samsung will provide at least one month’s advance notice before any of these changes take effect.
H. Points Conversion and Transfer
1. Points Transfer – Eligibility and Availability
(a) The wider Samsung group of companies offers Rewards Accounts in different countries and for different services, each overseen by separate Samsung subsidiaries.
(b) Participants may transfer Rewards Points from one Samsung Rewards Program to another (a “Transfer”). In order to use the Transfer feature, Participants must
i. Have registered two active Samsung Rewards Accounts: a sending account in one Samsung Rewards Program from which the points are being transferred (“Sending Account”), and a recipient account in another Samsung Rewards Program to which the points are being transferred (“Recipient Account”); and
ii. Have registered the Sending Account and Recipient Account to the same Samsung Account.
(c) While the terms and conditions applying to the Transfer feature should be consistent, in the event of any discrepancy, the Terms applying to the Recipient Account shall take priority. For the avoidance of doubt, the same Conversion Rate is used for transfers in both directions for each pair of Rewards Programs.
(d) Participants can only transfer Rewards Points between their own Rewards Accounts. It is not possible to send Points to or receive Points from another person or Samsung Account.
(e) Participants can request Transfers in the Samsung.com My Page and Rewards Program home page for any Rewards Program for which the Transfer feature is available and in which they have a Rewards Account. Participants can also view their Samsung Rewards history, including details of previous Transfers, on these pages.
2. Conversion Methodology
(a) Samsung Rewards Points are worth different amounts for each Rewards Program. This reflects different Rewards Points earning and redemption rates and prices of Samsung’s products. Prior to any Transfer, the Rewards Points balance, and amount of points selected for transfer from the Sending Account, must first be converted into the equivalent Points value for the Recipient Account.
(b) The Rewards Points value conversion rate (the “Conversion Rate”) for the proposed Transfer will be shown on screen, alongside the number of Rewards Points being transferred and starting and finishing account balances for both the Sending Account and Recipient Account. Participants are able to review the Conversion Rate and number of points to be credited to the Recipient Account before confirming the Transfer.
(c) Samsung determines the Conversion Rate at its own discretion, based on the average internal exchange rate used for the preceding month for the currencies used by the Sending Account and Recipient Account. Samsung reserves the right to update the Conversion Rates more frequently, or to adapt the methodology to reflect changing circumstances.
(d) If the calculation of the points value in the Recipient Account results in a fraction of a Rewards Point, then the value of the Transfer will be rounded to the nearest full Reward Point.
(e) Transferred Points will be displayed in the Recipient Account immediately. Participants should contact customer service if a Transfer is unsuccessful, or they believe there has been an error in the Transfer calculation.
3. Miscellaneous
(a) Rewards Points subject to a Transfer retain the expiration date they held in the Sending Account.
(b) A request to transfer Rewards Points cannot be cancelled or withdrawn. However, it is possible to re-convert Points by requesting a reverse Transfer, subject to the restrictions on excessive or fraudulent Transfers set out in section H.4 below.
(c) Participants are responsible for managing any personal tax liabilities, charges or similar obligations arising from the transfer of Rewards Points.
(d) Samsung does not offer a currency exchange service. The Samsung Rewards Transfer feature is offered as convenience to Participants, enabling them to combine and spend points earned from multiple Samsung Electronics companies. For the avoidance of doubt, the Rewards Points Conversion Rate is not intended to represent or reflect current market exchange rates.
(e) The fact that a Participant has registered for Samsung Rewards in multiple countries, or transferred Rewards Points, does not affect the terms applying to their remaining Rewards Points or the terms and conditions, including jurisdiction, applying to any completed purchases from E-Commerce Platform.
(f) After Rewards Points are transferred to the Recipient Account, the Rewards Points and their use will be subject to the terms and conditions applicable to the relevant Samsung Rewards Program. The Samsung company offering the Sending Account shall no longer have any liability (and you waive any rights or claims you have against such Samsung Company) in respect of the transferred Rewards Points.
4. Restrictions on Transfers
(a) Some Rewards Points may not be eligible for Transfer. For example, Rewards Points granted as part of a country-specific promotion or earning opportunity may be non-transferable. Any such restrictions will be explained on your Samsung Rewards Account page.
(b) Rewards Points Transfers are only available between certain Rewards Programs which may change from time to time. Please check the Samsung Rewards FAQ page
for more information on currently participating Rewards Programs.
(c) Samsung may restrict the transfer of Rewards Points between particular Samsung Rewards Programs on the basis of any legal requirements, in which case Samsung will notify you of the exclusions on the Samsung Rewards homepage.
(d) Participants may be prevented from requesting Transfers if Samsung has reason to suspect that a Transfer request, or any previously completed transfers, are or were fraudulent, or aimed at gaming the conversion rates to artificially increase the overall points balance and obtain a foreign exchange profit, rather than redeem the Points through the Recipient Account. Samsung may prevent a Participant from executing multiple International Samsung Rewards Transfers in a short period of time, including repeated small transfers and reversed transfers without any redemptions, as this may compromise the system or cause Samsung to incur significant costs.
(e) The availability of Samsung Rewards Transfers is not guaranteed and may be removed or amended at any time at Samsung’s sole discretion.
