Galaxy Store U.S. Privacy Notice

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., along with our affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively, “Samsung”), respects your concerns about privacy. This Galaxy Store Privacy Notice (this “Privacy Notice”) applies to the personal information we obtain through Galaxy Store (the “Service”). It does not apply to information collected by other apps, websites or services provided by Samsung. If you are a minor (under 18 years old), please refer to our Galaxy Store U.S. Privacy Notice for Minors with a parent or guardian, which will help you understand better what information we collect and how we use it.
This Privacy Notice supplements the Samsung Privacy Policy (available at https://www.samsung.com/us/account/privacy-policy) (“Samsung Privacy Policy”) and provides additional information about how we may collect, use and share your personal information in connection with the Service. In the event any portion of this Privacy Notice conflicts with the Samsung Privacy Policy, the relevant provisions of this Privacy Notice will govern.
Information We Obtain
Through the Service, we may obtain information about you in various ways. The types of personal information we may obtain include:
Information You Provide Directly
· Account, contact and biographical information, such as Samsung account profile and demographic information; and
· Customer service-related information, such as when you contact customer service and your communications, including any information you provide regarding your identity and the product or service you are contacting us about.
Information We Obtain By Automated Means
· Device information, such as hardware information, software information, mobile carrier, settings (such as language), device identifiers (such as IP address, IMEI, advertising IDs, and Universal Unique ID), and information stored on cookies and web beacons we have set on your device;
· Diagnostic, technical, error and usage information, including how, when and for how long you use the Service. This may include how you interact with content offered through the Service, including information related to event participation, the installation or deletion of downloaded apps or games, usage or play data (including about and from third-party apps and content), and recommendations. It may also include information related to coupons, event codes or other promotions you have and use, including whether you have registered for Samsung Points and Samsung Rewards; and
· Transaction-related information, such as information related to purchases and subscriptions. When you apply for a refund, we also collect additional information (depending on how the purchase was made), including bank and contact information, as well as information about the product or service being refunded.
We also may collect other information about you, your devices and apps, and your use of the Service in ways that we describe to you at the time of collection or otherwise with your consent.
The Samsung Privacy Policy also describes other information we may collect, including through cookies.
How We Use the Information We Obtain
We may use the information we obtain through the Service for the purposes described in the Samsung Privacy Policy and to:
· identify and authenticate you so you may use the Service;
· provide you with the Service;
· improve and customize your experience with the Service, such as delivering content and responses tailored to you and the way you interact with the Service;
· link your Samsung account and/or interact with third-party devices, apps, features or services;
· respond to your requests, inquiries, and instructions made through or about the Service;
deliver advertising, including sponsored content and promotional communications, and with your consent personalized advertisements. To serve personalized advertisements, we may share your personal information (such as identifiers and online activity) by allowing certain third parties (such as online advertising services) to collect your personal information via automated technologies and server-to-server connections on the Services. This kind of sharing may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information or the use of personal information to serve “targeted advertising” under certain privacy laws;
if you have enabled Customization Service, use the information to provide customized content and recommendations. More details are available in the Customization Service Privacy Notice (available here); and
if you have enabled Customization Service, with your separate consent to “Personalize your ads experience with Samsung account data,” use the information collected through the Service to provide personalized ads on other Samsung services where you have opted in to receive personalized ads on that other Samsung service. Information Sharing
As you use the Service, we share the types of information we collect (as described above) to the following entities for the purposes described above.
1. Subsidiaries and Affiliates: Samsung branded and non-branded subsidiaries and affiliates which we control or own;
2. Business Partners: Third parties who we work together with. These business partners control and manage your personal information. For example, we may share your information with the following types of business partners:
· app developers
· ad partners
3. Service Providers/Processors: Carefully selected companies that provide services for or on behalf of us. These providers are also committed to protecting your information.
4. Other Parties When Required by Law or as Necessary to Protect Our Services: For example, it may be necessary by law, legal process, or court order from governmental authorities to disclose your information. They may also seek your information from us for the purposes of law enforcement, national security, anti-terrorism, or other issues that are related to public security.
5. Other Parties with Your Consent or at Your Direction: In addition to the disclosures described in this Privacy Notice, we share information about you with third parties when you separately consent to or request such sharing.

How Long We Keep Your Information
As stated above, this Privacy Notice supplements the Samsung Privacy Policy, which describes our information retention practices.
Updates to This Privacy Notice
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time and without prior notice to you to reflect changes in our personal information practices with respect to the Service or changes in applicable law. We will provide you with advanced notice of any material changes by notifying you through the Service or email if we have one. We will indicate at the top of this Privacy Notice when it was most recently updated.

We (Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and our related companies) care about your privacy. This Privacy Notice will explain how we handle information about you when you use Galaxy Store (the “Service”). If you have any questions while reading this Privacy Notice, we recommend you sit with a parent or guardian to help you review and understand this Privacy Notice.
Please note that this is a simplified version of the Galaxy Store U.S. Privacy Notice made for minors (those under 18 years of age), not a substitute.
Information We Get
When you use the Service, we may collect, and you might share with us, certain information about you. These include:
Information You Choose to Give Us
· Profile and contact information (for example, your Samsung account profile, your contact information and other information about you); and
· Customer support information (for example, what you write when you ask a question, report a problem, or tell us about a product or service you are using).
Information We Get Automatically
· Information about your device (for example, the type of phone or tablet you use, what settings you have turned on or off, and information that helps us recognize your device, like an IP address);
· Information about how you use the Service (for example, when and how you play games, install or delete apps, watch videos, or join events, special offers, or rewards. This also includes things like which content you enjoy and what you do in games or apps, including those from other companies); and
· Information about your purchases and refunds (for example, what you buy in the Service, like apps or items, and if needed, the details we use to help with a refund, such as account or contact information).
We may also collect other information about you, your devices and apps, and how you use the Service when you allow us. When we do, we will explain it to you.
The Samsung Privacy Policy (available at https://www.samsung.com/us/account/privacy-policy) (“Samsung Privacy Policy”) also describes other information we may collect automatically when you use the Service, including through technology called cookies and third-party analytics services.
How We Use the Information
We may use the information we get through the Service for the purposes below. We may not use your information for some of the purposes depending on how old you are. For example, if you’re under 18, we won’t use your information for personalized ads.
· make sure it is you who is using the Service, so you can safely use the Service;
· make your experience better by showing content or suggestions that match how you use the Service;
· connect your Samsung account with other Samsung and/or third-party apps, features or services;
· respond to you when you ask something, like when you send a request or report a problem;
· if you agree, send you messages about features and offers; and
· show you ads (these ads are not personalized and are only generic ads).
Sharing Your Information
Where applicable, we may share your information with other Samsung companies, business partners, and service providers that help us run the Service. Sometimes, we are required by law to share information for legal purposes or public safety. Additionally, we may share your information when you give us permission or request it.
Specifically, business partners are other companies who control and manage your information, such as app developers and ad partners.
If you don't understand, please ask your parent or guardian to help you understand who we share your information with.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We don’t keep your personal information if we don’t need it. Your information will be kept for as long as it is needed to provide you with the Service, as required by law (government rules) or contracts (promises we made to other companies), or only for as long as necessary for one of the purposes above.
Once it is no longer needed, we will either delete it or anonymize it (meaning we won’t know it’s your information).
What Can You Ask Us To Do With Your Information?
Depending on where you live, for this Service, you (or your parent or guardian) have the right to ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we have about you, and in a way that other devices can read this information
- update or fix your information
- delete your information
You (or if you’re under 13, your parent or guardian) can make these requests by calling us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (1-800-726-7864) or on the Privacy Rights Portal (available at https://www.samsung.com/us/privacy/rights/). If you ask us to delete or stop using your information, some parts of the Service might not work as expected. Always talk to your parents or guardian if you are not sure.
Updates to This Privacy Notice
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know before we update this Privacy Notice through the Service or email if we have one. You can always see when we last made changes to this Privacy Notice by checking the date at the top.
